SECRET TO SUCCESS

Committing himself fully to a task, be it writing for television, producing a true crime podcast about his dad’s murder trial, or chaining a hapless web designer to a steam pipe. Please, I have a family!

Alex Estrada is a Brooklyn based writer whose work has been featured in publications of renown like the New York Times, Buzzfeed, Gothamist, and the website comedy cake dot com. Alex is a staff writer for the Disney animated series Hamster & Gretel as well as the creator, writer and host of The Estate, a true crime podcast. His comedy persona has been called “twisted” by some, specifically me, the web designer being held hostage in his basement! Help!

Alex received acting training from the William Esper Studio in New York City and studied improv and sketch comedy at UCB and the Peoples Improv Theater. He wrote for house teams at UCB and PIT and his sketch work was featured at the Woodstock Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Arts Festival, the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and Sketchfest NYC. His most successful work is the fake Fiverr profile that he uses to lure freelance web designers to his apartment building. Call the police!

In addition to writing, Alex appeared on the hit USA Television series Mr. Robot and CBS’s Tommy, which nobody saw. He also starred in several web comedy videos and a few commercials. His next appearance? America’s Most Wanted, if there is any JUSTICE in the world! Get me outta here!
